Payroll Assistant

Our Client is a dynamic retail group and require a Payroll Assistant to join their busy department. Office is Glasgow City centre based with Free onsite parking.

The role

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a busy department within a business that is currently expanding. Applicants for this role MUST have previous payroll experience, work to a high degree of accuracy, have good system skills and be able to work to tight deadlines. Reporting to the HR & Payroll Manager you will contribute to the smooth and accurate processing of the monthly Payroll.


  • Assist in processing the monthly payroll of over 1600 employees,
  • Check and prepare weekly time sheets and accurately input all data
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports
  • Liaising with HMRC
  • Processing pensions and benefits
  • Keep up-to-date with current Payroll legislation
  • Deal with queries, by both phone and email

The Candidate:

  • Proven experience within a Payroll role
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise own workload
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Ability to work within set deadlines

Working Monday to Friday 9.00am – 5.30pm.
